Early Childhood Full Day

The Full Day classes, which include kindergarten, begin with arrival at 8:15 a. m. and ends with dismissal from 3:15 to 3:25 p.m. The full day experience allows 3-6 year old children extended, uninterrupted time to concentrate, explore, and experience the Montessori environment.

The daily schedule offers a three-hour morning work cycle, lunch, time in the gym, outdoor recess (weather permitting), community "rest time" with quiet activity, and an additional afternoon work cycle with special projects relating to our curriculum.

Children bring their own lunches. The meal is eaten together, family style with their teachers. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn manners, courtesy and social skills.

The classroom curriculum parallels the half-day Early Childhood classes including Spanish and community outings, however the Full Day classes include 40 minutes in the gym each day.

Please see the half-day Early Childhood page for a description of the learning environments and playground.
