Accreditation:
Montessori Is in Our Name. Excellence Is in Our Work.
Anyone can use the word Montessori. With no trademark protecting the name, there are plenty of Montessori-inspired programs.
So how do you know you're choosing the real thing?
At Crystal Lake Montessori School, authentic Montessori is more than a name. It's a commitment to thoughtful preparation, deep expertise, and doing right by children.
We're fully accredited by the American Montessori Society (AMS), reflecting our commitment to high standards across our classrooms, programs, and professional practices.
And our teachers? They're exceptionally prepared.
All of our lead teachers hold at least a bachelor's degree, along with additional specialized Montessori training and certification through AMS-affiliated, MACTE-accredited programs. This additional preparation involves extensive coursework, hands-on practice, and supervised classroom experience—and often takes multiple years to complete.
Many of our teachers hold Montessori credentials across multiple levels, bringing a depth of knowledge that helps them understand not just what children are learning, but why, when, and how they learn best.
Because great Montessori teaching takes more than beautiful materials and a carefully arranged classroom. It takes trained eyes, thoughtful observation, sound judgment, and a genuine understanding of child development.
Our teachers know their craft. They know children. And they never stop learning.
